still trying to get live mail working with Outlook Express

Thanks for the email Rafail, I seem to have done everything correctly but when I update settings in Outlook Express I get this message back
Configuration:
   Account: imap-mail.outlook.comsmpt-mail.
   Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
   User name: cicero@live.com.au
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 993
   Secure(SSL): 0
   Code: 800ccc0f
It appears to try and update things but just keeps going and going until it won't go anymore.

the message I get back when actually trying to send a message is this

The host 'smpt-mail.outlook.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'imap-mail.outlook.comsmpt-mail.', Server: 'smpt-mail.outlook.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I also shut down my security on email so that wouldn't affect it.

Followed all the instructions you sent and nothing works.
At the moment I use Thunderbird which works fine and picks up everything from Live Mail. I would much prefer to use  Outlook Express but if I can't, I'll just have to ask for my money back (which I really don't want to do.)

On your email, you asked for instructions for other account. For outlook.com please add port 25 on Smtp (with SSL checked)
