Outlook Express settings
#1
I think that I must have an error in my settings (incoming mail port number?) because OE shows that there is no new mail, but using my ISP's mail service (webmail.shaw.ca) I see that there are 6 or 7 messages, with 3 or 4 being new unread.  My last action was to reinstall OE over the weekend (I thought that there was a catch-22 problem re getting the install keys.)

....and I cannot send.
I created a test e-mail to send to myself, but I got an error message:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.shaw.ca', Server: 'mail.shaw.ca', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 586, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Following a system hang last week, I had some problems with OE, so I reinstalled.  Both these problems happened after the install.

I hope that you can suggest something other than reinstalling again.

Thank you,
Dave
