Outlook Express & Windows 10 Update
#41
I went to File/export but all I saw was Address book and messages.  Where can I export account settings?

You can export account by going to "Tools>Accounts" and there is a button "Export" there.

I stepped away from my laptop for a few minutes and before I knew it the laptop rebooted itself and spent 15 minutes updating an April update.  of course it wiped out Outlook Express.  I got the program reinstalled but every time I open it everything is grayed out and then it closes on itself.  I am just sick of this windows 10 updating.  I don't know what to do now.

I have tried several times to reinstall Outlook Express. I even use the restore tool. But each time when you open the program everything is grayed out and then the program closes. Help!!

Are you sure that you installed last version?
Can you upload a screenshot of that gray screen?

The program opens and then closes within 30 seconds.

if I try to run the program as Administrator I get a Runtime error of 53

Has anyone used EaseUS PC Transfer software to copy OE to another external drive and use it to restore when updates delete it?

Maby your email forders have an issue. Please try with blank oe (you can try moving your dbx files temporarly) just to check if it opens normally.
