OE6 2.1 is compatible with .eml, .aif and .wab file?
#1
Hi I'm new user of Win 7 and I need a email's client for my new OS...
I found your OE6 but when I changed the last OS (win xp sp3), I did a backup of my old OS, so I have created several .EML file for my importants emails, several .AIF file for backup of my accounts and a .WAB file for the address book ...
Your OE6 2.1 is full compatible with this backup's file?
If yes, can I import .EML file easily, like to drag from my hd to the appropriated archive of the new OE6, is the same for other files or how I do it?
In the past when I had want to have the same emails to another pc with the same OS and OE, I did it in this mode easily!

Thanks a lot for your answer...

Ciao from Italy...
Gianluca

P.S. Sorry for my bad english, google translate help me for this.

Well I have received the keys and OE6 work properly, I have just imported all my accounts and address book and works fine, but I can not import .EML files previously saved in a backup folder ... Drag them from the backup folder to the mail deleted of OE6, for example, but it's the same for the other folders, is impossible...
How can I fix? Thank you in advance...

To import .eml files bu dropping them on email folder you must disable UAC on control panel or use Tray icon settings menu.

Disabling UAC will allow drop eml files normally on OE. But you can also use tray icon menu for that (without disabling UAC)

On tray icon settings menu there is a checkbox called "Create OE shortcut to run without Administrative rights".
That will create a second shortcut on desktop, running oe from that shortcut will allow drop eml files.
