I've been using this OE for over a year and it's been as steady as a rock. I've been away for a week and on my return I find that I can't sent emails with any form of attachments. As soon as I try and add an attachment to an email OE locks up and CPU usage goes up to 100%.

I use WinMail as an archive and I can send attachments with it on the same email account but not using OE.

Anyone any ideas how I can fix this problem?

Please check if your antivirus has an email addon that trys to scan attachments. I would also reinstall oe in case that something is wrong with installation (you wont loose anything). Also check if your dbx files have been corrupt (cick on file>folder>compact all folders)
