Forgotten passwords in OE

Hi there,

I have found your program most helpful for computer users who don't want to change from simple and effective programs such as Outlook Express!

I know about the incompatibilities caused by Windows Updates, but a user is now having a problem with her passwords, in that Outlook Express does not remember them properly. We enter the passwords to her two accounts under the Accounts tab and click Apply. The passwords are retained for repeated "send and receives" but once she closes OE and re-opens it the passwords have been forgotten - the field is blank again!

Any ideas?

Hello peter.
pease make sure that you have last version 2.2.1, and try reinstalling.
Normally when this happens, reinstalling fixes this issue.

Thanks for your reply. Version 2.1.1 seems to be the latest I have here on my drive, so I will download the latest version and install it for her.

I will keep you updated on the outcome.

If I install the latest version do I need to uninstall the previous one?

Will all the data be preserved?

Do I need a new license key (I have purchased 3 or possibly even 6 already!

you dont heve to uninstall old version, just install new version and nothind will be lost. you dont need new key. use same key
