Win 10 automatic update
Hello
I would like to install OutlookExpress for Win 10
I red that to prevent OE from being uninstalled with the automatic update of Win 10 , we should disable the automatic update
But then , how do we make the update of Win 10 ?
Thanks for your help
Regards

Yes, I understand that , but there are continuously updates of win 10 .
Does this mean each time I will update Win 10 , I will have to reinstall OE ?

RE: Win 10 automatic update
This has to do windows 10, not with oe. So users with windows 10 are suggested to turn off updates or to made frequent backups for piece of mind.

RE: Win 10 automatic update
OK , thanks Rafail
This confirm that each time we update Win 10 , we have to reinstall OE ( if I understand right ) .
This is not really acceptable for the normal operation of a mail client .
( I understand this is due to Win 10 )
Thanks for your help and explanations .
Best Regards

RE: Win 10 automatic update
No, not all windows 10 removing oe. It may happen with some Major uodates. But there is no reason to risk anything, so backup is suggested if updates on windows 10 are enabled. This does not affect other windows users and Windows 10 updates are removing other software that Windows 10 thinks that are incompatible. You can go a quick search on google and you will find that many software are affected.

RE: Win 10 automatic update
JamesBond,
If you update from earlier windows to windows 10, outlook express will be uninstalled,
if you have windows 10 and automatic updates are open (by default are open), there is a risk an automatic update to remove outlook express
this usually happens with major automatic updates and only on win10.
