RE: stop images from automatically downloading?
Hi,
1.Open Outlook Express, Go to Tools menu, Options
click on Security tab and check "Block Images and other content in HTML email"

2.If you dont see "Block Images and other content in HTML email" and your Security tab is like this:

3.Then go to Outlook Express installation directory (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Outlook Express) and right click on file "msimn.exe", go to Compatibility tab and check "Run this program in XP SP2 compatibility" and click OK, like this:

4.After that run Outlook Express, Now you will see "Block Images and other content in HTML email". Check it and close Outlook express.

Final step (important) :Go back to "msimn.exe" and uncheck XP SP2 Compatibility (chacked on step 3).

Done
