OE on Windows8
I'm new to this forum and find it somewhat confusing. I hope this is being posted in the right place. I have w8.1 on a HP LapTop that also has WinsowsLiveMail which I find is a nightmare. Also Thunderbird which I find no better. To install OE I would have to remove them both - right? What about the crap it leaves in the Registry? Is OE compatible with either of these email programs?

There's also the crippled copy of WindowsMail (WinMail) on the LT that should probably be removed.

RE: OE on Windows8
you dont have to reove live mail. Outlook Express will rename the winmail folder on program files so it wont block outlook express.
As for registry there are 2 locaions that outlook express stores settings.
