Installing OE with Win 10
Hi
I tried to install OE following your procedure
1) I do not see this part of the installation ( see attached_setting_1.jpg); no tray icon ?
2) I tried to set 4 different accounts in OE
a) 3 OK , but they are not named on the left panel and all messages of the 3 accounts are mixed ; why when we create an account this one does not appear as a specific entity on the left panel ?
b) 1 ; Hotmail with http : https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync.../sync.aspx
impossible to install ; do you have any idea why
( See attached accont_1 and 2.jpg )
Thanks for your help

RE: Installing OE with Win 10
Hello,
Accounts are mixed because you have created them in same identity. To create more identities go to File>Identities
Tray icon should be there id you run from desktop shortcut (not directly msimn.exe), please also make sure that you have installed last version:

For hotmail setting you can read here:

RE: Installing OE with Win 10
Thank you Rafail
Everything now OK ; I am glad to recover my favorite mail client .
Just one question :
When we have several accounts ( with as many identities ),its a little bit boring to go through all the identities to see if we have messages in the different inboxes .
There is not a " dashboard " with all the identities , where we can see if we have incoming messages ?
I cannot remember that , as I have been using Windows Live Mail for a long time .
Thanks

no there is not dashborad, but you can switch fast identities from File>Identities>switch identity

RE: Installing OE with Win 10
Hi there, just downloaded Outlook Express 6 yesterday. I am a novice on the tech side. I am attempting to set it up, but I have no idea what information I need to enter into the POP3 and SMTP boxes. I am running windows 10 on my PC. I would be most grateful for any help.

RE: Installing OE with Win 10
Pop and smtp (account settings) have to do with what email provider you have, for gmail and live mails you can see this page as example:
