IMAP Sent
The name of the IMAP folder on my server is "Sent". I specified it in account settings on the tab "IMAP" as "Sent Items Path".

When I send a message, I get this error:

Some of the messages in your Outbox Folder could not be copied to your Sent Items Folder. Your message could not be uploaded to the IMAP server. The server refused to accept it. Subject 'test', Account: '<domain-name>', Server: 'mail.<domain-name>', Protocol: IMAP, Server Response: 'Client tried to access nonexistent namespace. (Mailbox name should probably be prefixed with: INBOX.)', Port: 143, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCCD2

In Outlook, it works OK and sent messages appear in "Sent" folder.

RE: IMAP Sent
Hello,

It looks that your imap settings are wrong.
Please try this:

Go to tools > accounts > IMAP and deselect "store special folders on IMAP server"

I tried now, but got the same error.

Besides, I do want to store sent email on the server, i.e. if I have configured email clients for this account on computers A and B, and I send email from computer A, I want to be able to go to computer B and see it in "Sent" folder; I think, that's what whole IMAP is about. And it does work this way in Outlook.

RE: IMAP Sent
I tried on my own website, and on AT&T/sbcglobal.net. If it helps, I can enable IMAP logging and post.

On sbcglobal, the error was:

Some of the messages in your Outbox Folder could not be copied to your Sent Items Folder. Your message could not be uploaded to the IMAP server. The server refused to accept it. Subject 'sss', Account: 'AT&T', Server: 'imap.mail.att.net', Protocol: IMAP, Server Response: 'CLIENTBUG] Additional arguments found after last expected argument', Port: 993, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCCD3
